2月24日中午，RACV俱乐部二楼宴会厅，热闹异常，澳洲本地知名企业高层和中国驻澳代表应澳大利亚上海总商会的邀请，和我们总商会代表一起见证并庆祝沪商俱乐部Shanghai Club的成立。

In the Midday of 24th of February, Shanghai Club hold the Opening Ceremony on the 2nd floor of RACV Club. Many famous local business executives and Chinese Business representatives have been invited by Australia Shanghai General Chamber of Commerce for the ceremony. They gathering here to witness the opening of Shanghai Club.

沪商俱乐部是澳大利亚上海总商会旗下专门针对服务高端会员的邀请制会员俱乐部。上海总商会自1994年11月成立以来举办了许多在澳有重大影响的活动包括香港回归，澳门回归及上海世博会的全澳推广等。2017年7月上海总商会改选以来，会员人数成倍增长，会员质量也越来越高。2019年初，应部分公司会员的要求，杨海荣会长和上海总商会核心层决定通过成立沪商俱乐部的形式来满足商会内高净值会员的需要。

Shanghai Club is a branch of Australia Shanghai General Chamber of Commerce. It is an exclusive member club that only open to the high-end members. As we all known, Since the establishment of ASGCC on November of 1994, the chamber organized many important events in Australia. Such as the return of Hong Kong, Macau and the national promotion for Shanghai World Expo in Australia etc.  After the last election on July 2017, the membership numbers have been doubled and the member quality has been significantly improved. In the early of 2019, By requested by many members, the president Hairong Yang and all the core members of ASGCC decided to establish the Shanghai Club to meet the needs of the high-end members of ASGCC.

特此在农历新年接近尾声之际，举办这次成立庆典，并开启19年的商会活动新篇章。杨海荣会长首先发言并一一介绍每位嘉宾与客人。此次开幕庆典可谓名流云集，参加庆典的重要来宾包括：连任数届的澳大利亚总督府前秘书长Charles Curwen科文先生和夫人，澳洲著名娱乐公司Village Roadshow 的董事局主席John Kirby先生和太太，中方代表公司包括东方航空公司墨尔本周访登总经理，中国银行墨尔本唐人街分行陆文琦行长，JB Were资深财务顾问Simon Talbot, 维多利亚大学商务孔子学院王蓓院长, 澳洲国民银行前高管，自我管理养老金SMSF资深人士Mark Davis与复旦大学墨尔本校友会张民会长等嘉宾。

Therefore, on this beginning of Chinese Lunar New Year, ASGCC organized this opening ceremony to start a new page of year 2019.  President Hairong Yang officially open the ceremony and introduced every guest. The guests included:

Former Secretary General of the Australian Governor's Office, Mr. Charles Curwen and his wife,

Chairman of the Board of famous entertainment company Village Roadshow, Mr. John Kirby and his Wife,

General Manager of China Eastern Airlines, Mr. Zhou Fangdeng,

Bank President of Bank of China, Chinatown Branch, Ms. Lu Wenqi,

Senior financial consultant of JB Were, Mr Sion Talbot,

Dean of the Victoria Business Confucius Institute, Ms. Wang Pei,

Former senior executive of NAB, Self-management super funds expert Mr. Mark Davis,

Chairman of Australia Alumni of Fudan Association, Mr. Zhang Min

特别让人感到激动的是，沪商俱乐部荣幸请到为中澳关系作出重大贡献的科文先生应邀担任俱乐部的荣誉主席，科文先生激动地回顾了他在过去几十年在中澳关系中的工作点滴，尤其是1986年陪同维州总督访问苏州，参加纪念苏州2500年庆祝活动，以及他在总督府接待过世界各国政要包括中国领导人胡景涛主席，来宾们深刻感受到他对澳中关系的热情。他表示将会为俱乐部会员与澳洲主流社会交流搭建桥梁。

The most exciting part is that Shanghai Club have Mr. Curwen to be the honorary chairman, who used to make great contribution on Australia-China relationship history. Mr. Curwen remembered lots of details for the past decades when he works on the relationship between China and Australia. For example, Mr. Curwen visited Suzhou with the Victorian Governor on 1986 for the Suzhou 2500 Anniversary and he accommodated Former Chinese President Mr. Hu Jintao at Governor’s House etc. All the guests were inspired by his enthusiasm for the China-Australia relations. Mr. Curwen also mentioned that he will definitely help build the bridge between club members and Australia mainstream society. 

上海总商会李乃明秘书长发言，介绍总商会的发展历程，并感谢为沪商俱乐部成立作出幕后奉献的工作人员。整个庆典活动安排精细有序，包括上海背景介绍的视频，中国传统的古筝演奏，中国茶艺表演与品尝，还有墨尔本著名的上海书画家洪丕森老师赠送“沪商俱乐部”书法等节目，使出席这次活动的嘉宾们感受到上海海派文化的魅力。

In the speech of Mr. Li Naiming (Secretary General of AGSCC), he introduced the history of AGSCC and he thanks all the staffs who work for the Shanghai Club. In the opening ceremony, Shanghai Club brought the guests the video presentation about the Shanghai City, Chinese traditional Guzheng performance, Chinese traditional Tea Arts and Tea Tasting. The famous Shanghai artist Master Hong Peisen gave his calligraphy writing “Shanghai Club” to Shanghai Club as a greeting Gift. All the Shanghai elements made the guests could enjoy the very Shanghai Style Ceremony. 

上海总商会今年正值成立25年之际，期望沪商俱乐部的成立为上海总商会的服务工作锦上添花，为各层商会会员建立各种商业机会和平台。

This year is the 25th year since the AGSCC established. We hope Shanghai Club can assists AGSCC to provide our members a better service and a better commercial platform.
